Kool iKaos

A very capable music app for creating loop-based grooves from preset patterns and imported loops. Different scales and keys can be selected, and you can record your own loop patterns. The X-Y touchpad is excellent; my only wish is that Korg would add an option to display a grid reflecting the current scale, which would make it easier to target specific notes of the scale when making patterns. Current solutions to the lack of a note grid make use of colored painters tape on the screen. Finally, the app can be used for live performance, switching loops and recording on the fly. It would be nice to have a better in-app manual. Nevertheless, kudos to Korg!
